The Canberra Yoga Conference was a milestone for Canberra’s yoga community and also for Tidy Temple Yoga as Premier Sponsors of this significant first-time event.  With approx 220 people attending, CYC was a huge success and hopefully the first of many future annual events.  It was an opportunity for the Canberra yoga community to come together for one day under one roof to share in the joy of yoga and unity. With 40 different sessions ranging from a variety of practical classes representing different yoga styles, in addition to lectures covering topics such as meditation, ayurveda, philosophy and more. We were also fortunate to have two sessions presented by John Ogilvie of Byron Yoga Centre, in addition to a 2-hour evening workshop after the Conference. It  was truly a remarkable day of Yoga & Unity with classes, talks, food, drink and merchandise.

Rob, Kristin, Jay (Gio), Jen and Sergei of Tidy Temple Yoga were all honored to be presenting alongside a number of wonderful and inspiring local and interstate yoga teachers:  Rob – “Why Meditation and Mindfulness?”; Kristin – “Playful Group Yoga”; Gio – “Journey into Power”; Jen – “The Brass Tacks of Three Inversions”; and Sergei – “Meditation Exploration”.

Rob, Jay and Jen also made excellent contributions with written articles for the Conference Magazine on pages 18-20: “Mindfulness – being in the present moment” by Rob Ginnivan; “Transcending anxiety through yoga” by Gio (Jay) Ginnivan; and “Words of Wisdom for beginners of yoga” by Jen Brown.
